Jasmine Abdelaziz, a 9-year old Arlington girl, was killed when a car struck her tricycle around 7 p.m. Thursday. Jasmine was attempting to cross the street in her neighborhood when the crash occurred. A police spokesperson says that the little girl was hit and then dragged down the street a short distance before the car’s driver actually stopped. Jasmine was taken to Fort Worth hospital but died shortly after from her injuries. Police continue to investigate but say that the driver showed no signs of impairment at the time of the accident and cooperated with the officers.

This is a terrible and sad story and our heart and prayers go out to the family of Jasmine and all those affected by this tragedy.
