December is the month when Dallas and all of Texas experience a peak in DUI crashes. This year TxDOT has launched a massive campaign featuring Santa and his reindeer to try and persuade party goers to get a sober ride home. In addition, the Dallas Police Department will be conducting holiday weekend no-refusal DUI stops where judges are on the ready to issue warrants for blood tests for suspects who refuse to take a breathalyzer.
Making the Right Choice This Christmas
While police work to catch drunk drivers, we urge you to find a sober ride home: make a plan, pick a designated driver, or get a cab. Your decision to get behind to wheel after drinking could end someone's life. It's simply not worth it.
