A fiery crash in Dallas on Tuesday night has left one person dead. Authorities believe that the accident, which occurred at the intersection of Northwest Highway and Shady Brook Lane, was the result of street racing. Witnesses say that two vehicles were speeding along Northwest Highway, reaching speeds of around 100 mph. One of the drivers lost control after they hit a puddle, sending their vehicle into oncoming traffic. This vehicle hit several other cars before catching on fire. The driver, who was alone in the car, died at the scene of the crash.

Another woman in a separate vehicle had to be pried from the wreckage and was taken to a local hospital. None of the identities of the victims have been released at this time. The driver of the other vehicle thought to be racing fled the scene.

Street racing causes many serious injuries across the U.S. every year. The staff and attorneys at the Hart Law Firm hope that those injured by the irresponsible conduct of the racers can get some sort of relief.
