A hit and run accident in Fort Worth on Thursday evening has left the police searching for answers. At around 8:45 pm, the police received a call about a pedestrian being struck by a vehicle in Fort Worth's east side. The unidentified woman was attempting to cross the street at the 5700 block of East Lancaster when she was struck by a vehicle traveling westbound. The vehicle did not stop and police are still searching for suspects. The woman was take by ambulance to John Peter Smith hospital, but later died from the injuries that she sustained in the crash.
