A recent dump truck accident in Irving, TX has been blamed on a drunk driver. The accident occurred when workers for the city of Irving were picking up cones on O'Conner Road. The crew had been loading the construction cones into a trailer that was hitched to a large, commercial dump truck. A pickup truck, driven by an unnamed male, slammed into the trailer and then crashed onto its side.

One worker was standing on the other side of the trailer when the crash occurred. The man was trapped after the load of signs and cones fell on top of him. Initial reports indicate that the worker may have broken his arm.

The driver of the pickup truck was trapped inside his vehicle and had to be rescued by emergency crews. He was taken to the hospital to be treated for his injuries. At the hospital, a blood test revealed that the driver had been drinking before the accident. At the time of this report, charges related to the crash had not yet been announced.
