When a guilty verdict was read in a Dallas courtroom, two families hung their heads. One family was that of Armando Soto, the man found guilty of two counts of intoxication manslaughter. The other family was that of his three victims: Tri "Ethan" Khuu, 7 months old, Tuong Le, 32, and Ethan's father, Kenny Khuu. The only survivor in the car crash was Ethan's older sister, two at the time of the crash.  Two families; forever linked by the horrific drunk driving crash that occurred last Labor Day.

Soto, who was convicted of a misdemeanor DWI two months before the crash, was traveling 90 mph when he drove into the back of the victims' car. Accident investigators showed that Soto didn't even hit the brakes before hitting the car, his BAC at 0.19; twice the legal limit.

Soto was convicted of two counts of intoxication manslaughter and was sentenced to the maximum on each charge. He and his attorneys are still waiting for charges relating to the death of the father, Kenny Khuu. Khuu and been in a coma and died eight weeks after the crash. The other two victims died at the crash scene.

The DWI accident attorneys at the Hart Law Firm are heartened to hear that this chapter is nearly over for the family of the crash victims. We hope that the sentence and the conclusion of the trial will bring their friends and family members some measure of peace.
