Drunk Driver Headed to Dallas Hands Over the Keys- To an 8-Year-Old Child

A father and his two young children recently headed out on a road trip from their home in Louisiana, headed to Dallas, TX. While this is not unusual, what happened along the way is.

When the father found himself too drunk to drive, he decided to pull the truck over, allowing his 8-year-old son to drive for him. This left the child driving down Interstate 12, his 4-year-old sister unrestrained in the backseat, his father passed out next to him.

Luckily for the children and other motorists, another driver noticed that the Chevy pickup truck was being driven erratically and they called 911. The truck was safely stopped, the father arrested and children handed over to a family member.
